Production sites

Molfetta

It is the first production site Ciccolella family realized in the 70s. The main crops are cut roses and anthuria andreanum. The surface covers a total of 21.42 hectares of which 5 hectares are cultivated with anthuria, 16.42 hectares with roses. This production site hosts the “serra vetrina”, a display glasshouse where variety selection activities are carried out and where it is possible to admire the most beautiful varieties of roses and anthuria destined for future production.

Melfi

Productive plant realized in 2006. Cut roses and ornamental foliage are grown. The surface covers a total of 28 hectares of which 21 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of cut roses and 7 hectares to ornamental foliage. The greenhouses benefit from a co-generation heating system, which uses waste hot water conveyed from the nearby Edison power plant. This is the largest plant  in Europe for the production of cut roses.

Candela

Also in Puglia in Candela,province of Foggia, is located the most recent productive plant realized in 2007. Cut roses and anthuria are cultivated. The site is still in progress: the final surface will amount to 85 hectares (works are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008) and it will the largest and most technologically advanced floriculture plant of Europe. Like in Melfi, greenhouses use a co-generation heating system.
